Financing Incentives

Homeport has partnerships with various organizations sponsoring down payment assistance programs, such as the city of Columbus , Mid Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC), and Columbus Housing Partnership, Inc.

These programs can offer eligible buyers up to $6,000 for down payment and closing costs.

Homeport also offers additional grant funds to help buyers purchase a Homeport unit. The amounts are varied but can be up to $30,000 or more based on buyer eligibility.

Some new build and renovated homes are located within investment districts which make them eligible for tax abatement. This abatement means there are no new taxes paid on the improved value of land. A buyer would pay land only taxes which can amount to a significant savings for up to 15 years.
